For a longer leg-stretch, the path along the loch into Balloch makes a proper hour's walk through woodland and beach, with cafés and the Sea Life Aquarium at the far end. In summer, the south end of the loch warms enough for a swim from the gently shelving shore. For wider family plans, Leven Lodge 2 is part of Loch Lomond Sanctuary Lodges, a small group within the wider Lomond Castle Estate.
